"Golden Son continues the stunning saga of Darrow, a rebel forged by tragedy, battling to lead his oppressed people to freedom from the overlords of a brutal elitist future built on lies. Now fully embedded among the Gold ruling class, Darrow continues his work to bring down Society from within.
A life-or-death tale of vengeance with an unforgettable hero at its heart,Golden Son guarantees Pierce Brown’s continuing status as one of fiction’s most exciting new voices." - Goodreads.com
If you haven't had a chance to read the first book in this trilogy - Red Rising, I highly suggest you do!
Oh Pierce Brown, how you have done it again with this amazing book of yours. The characters you have created for us, and this amazing world that I just want to be apart of. On Darrow's side of course! This book contains everything I look for in a good read and, it kept pulling me in for more. So many late nights and very tired mornings because I could not put it down. I found myself reading for it over the work that I actually needed to get done. How I wanted to read it fast and know everything but at the same time pace myself so it would never end! The fact that I could NEVER predict what was happening, even though I tried many times. Each chapter seemed to end on a cliffhanger where I just had to continue to the next one.
I have to admit that the second book, was better than the first. I already knew the world, had made a connection with the characters, that when the truth to some of the side stories came out, I was even more shocked. I made a real connection with Darrow, his pain, his thoughts, his love for Eo and Mustang, and especially his wants for a better life. I really enjoyed this book and recommend it to anyone looking for an amazing read.
I can not wait for the third book in this trilogy to be released. Good Job, Pierce Brown, on this masterpiece of a novel!
